DINNER IN AMERICA
“An on-the-lam punk rocker and a young woman obsessed with his band unexpectedly fall in love and go on an epic journey together through America’s decaying Midwestern suburbs.” This is one of my favorite things I’ve seen in a while, and can’t believe I didn’t know about it until now. It’s bonkers crazy, absolutely unapologetic, and a ton of fun. This has major “Hesher” energy, and Kyle Gallner is one of my favorite actors as of late. Directed by Adam Rehmeier, who also did a movie called “Snack Shack” that’s also fantastic. Couldn’t recommend both of these more. On Hulu, Snack Shack on Prime.
