“Terry feels discriminated against when the summer jobs at the Sun Tribune go to two guys. She decides to do something about it. She dresses like a guy and gets a haircut. Will students at the other high school notice? Girls notice “him”.” This is fun at times, and we’ve seen a variation of this in other movies, but I just really couldn’t get on board with this one. I could not get past how dumb you would have to be to fall for this. On Tubi.
“Chevy Chase rose to fame on SNL before becoming a movie star in the 1980s. Known for physical comedy and deadpan delivery, his career later declined amid reports of difficult behavior.” Chevy Chase gets a lot of shit, some deserved, but seeing his upbringing and later substance abuse definitely makes me sad for him. He’s still a legend with some amazing movies and shows that he starred in. A very interesting watch. Should be on HBO Max later this month.
“A group of Miami cops discovers a stash of millions in cash, leading to distrust as outsiders learn about the huge seizure, making them question who to rely on.” This is the definition of solid crime thriller. Awesome to see Matt and Ben together again, along with a stellar supporting cast. Simple story, keeps ya guessing, solid action, and under 2 hours. On Netflix.
“As Spike is inducted into Jimmy Crystal’s gang on the mainland, Dr. Kelson makes a discovery that could alter the world.” Oh my god. These continue to be so much more than just zombie movies. They are deranged, but also full of humanity. One of my favorite needle drops in anything ever. It’s only January, but this will definitely be one of my favorites of the year.
