“A North East college freshman is going through a sexual dry spell, and a friend from high school arranges a beautiful woman for him to meet in California. He and a classmate he has a crush on end up hitchhiking all the way out to Cali.” What a fucking joy this was. The second movie made in Rob Reiners legendary run, and one hadn’t seen. On its face it seems like an 80’s teen sex comedy but it’s so much better than that. John Cusack is fantastically weird at 17 years old, and Daphne Zuniga is just as great, and should have been a giant star. Great movie, highly recommended, and on YouTube for free.
