LEE CRONIN’S THE MUMMY
“The young daughter of a journalist disappears into the desert without a trace. Eight years later, the broken family is shocked when she is returned to them, as what should be a joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare.” This isn’t perfect, but I had a pretty great time. Lee Cronin did the last evil dead, and this movie feels that, the exorcist, and the mummy, all in one. It’s creepy, fucked up, and disgusting. I do have issues with some effects in the final act, and it’s a little long, but I would gladly take another one of these. Mummies are the most under used horror vehicles.
