THE SURFER
“A man returns to the idyllic beach of his childhood to surf with his son. When he is humiliated by a group of locals, the man is drawn into a conflict that keeps rising and pushes him to his breaking point.” I’m not gonna say this is a great movie, but I was thoroughly entertained and it’s one of my favorite Nicolas Cage performances in a while. He’s pushed to the edge, and it’s fun to watch. Also RIP to Julian McMahon, who I read about his passing, right after watching this. Rented on Prime.
