TWELVE O’ CLOCK HIGH (1949)
“A tough-as-nails general takes over a B-17 bomber unit suffering from low morale and whips them into fighting shape.” This was hyped up to me “as good as saving private ryan” which it’s not, but it’s still good, even great, just slower than I’d like. The last 30 minutes or so is intercut with real bomber footage and is absolutely worth the wait.
