THE SOCIAL RECKONING
“Follows Frances Haugen, a young Facebook engineer, who enlisted the help of Jeff Horwitz, a Wall Street Journal reporter, to blow the whistle on the social network’s most guarded secrets.” The Social Network (2010) is an all time favorite and one of the best movies this century. The sequel is just inferior on every level. No returning cast, Sorkin directing instead of Fincher, even the score was so memorable before and is basically non existent here. I think Bill Burr does a great job being the voice of reason but that’s really the highlight. I was actually entertained, but just because I couldn’t stop wondering how anyone thought this was a good idea.
