THE WAGES OF FEAR (1953)
“In a decrepit South American village, four men are hired to transport an urgent nitroglycerine shipment without the equipment that would make it safe.” Based on a novel, remade in 1977 under the title “Sorcerer” by William Friedkin, both versions are 5 star masterpieces. Incredible tension, and just amazing filmmaking for the time. If I had to complain about anything, it definitely takes its time to get moving, but it’s more than worth it in the end. Both versions of this are more than worth your time. On Max. Sorcerer is rentable.
