BIRDY (1984)
“After two friends return home from the Vietnam War one becomes mentally unstable and obsesses with becoming a bird.” This is such a fantastically weird movie with some genuine heart. Reading the premise, I really wish the main roles were swapped. Nic Cage obsessed with becoming a bird sounds amazing, but Modine does a solid job. Also one of the funniest endings I’ve seen in a while. Rented on Prime.
