“In 1977, a technology expert flees from a mysterious past and returns to his hometown of Recife in search of peace. He soon realizes that the city is far from being the refuge he seeks.” Mixed on this one. I think it’s well acted, but it’s very weird and a lot to take in. For me I felt like there was legitimate disconnect with the information being given. I read over a plot summary afterward which definitely helped. I seem to be in the minority here, so maybe it deserves another watch. On Hulu soon.
