“Two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.” One of my favorites of the year and my favorite type of Yorgos Lanthimos movies. Killer performances across the board, and Emma Stone proves why she’s one of the best we have. It’s also very funny, and shockingly relevant to our current world. Along with Eddington and One Battle After Another, this belongs in an unofficial trilogy of the craziness of the last 10 years. Couldn’t recommend any of these more.
