“Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Colson Whitehead, “Nickel Boys” chronicles the powerful friendship between two young African-American men navigating the harrowing trials of reform school together in Florida.” This is a good story, told in a kind of frustrating way. If this were told in a more conventional way, I would like it a lot more. That aside, it’s really heavy, but important. At the very least, look up the school this is based on. Insane. Streaming soon.
