SHELBY OAKS
“A woman’s desperate search for her long-lost sister falls into obsession upon realizing that the imaginary demon from their childhood may have been real.” I commend Akron Local Chris Stuckmann for getting his movie made, an incredible feat by itself. There are aspects of this that could be great, and he definitely has an eye for horror. But this really doesn’t work. Everything feels stilted, and you can tell this is a first time filmmaker. No offense to the lead actress (though she will take offense to this) but she feels like dollar store Robin Wright. The ending belongs in the hall of fame for unintentionally hilarious endings.
