“J. Edgar Hoover, powerful head of the F.B.I. for nearly fifty years, looks back on his professional and personal life.” Just a misfire on so many levels. There’s gotta be a great movie on J. Edgar Hoover somewhere, but this just feels dull. It’s one of the few times that DiCaprio feels miscast and like it’s him just putting on a voice. There’s old age makeup put on Armie Hammer that’s so bad, it almost derails the whole thing by itself. Rented on Prime.
