MARIE ANTOINETTE
“The retelling of France’s iconic but ill-fated queen, Marie Antoinette. From her betrothal and marriage to Louis XVI at 14 to her reign as queen at 19 and to the end of her reign as queen, and ultimately the fall of Versailles.” This was pretty enjoyable. Kirsten Dunst crushes this, along with the stacked supporting cast. I’m not 100% sure on the historical accuracy, but the tone is genuinely fun and upbeat. I wish more contemporary music was used, and the ending is disappointing, considering we know what her fate was. Rented on Prime.
