THE BRIDGE AT THE REMAGEN (1969)
“As the Allied armies close in, the Germans decide to blow up the last Rhine bridge, trapping their own men on the wrong side. But will it happen?” This is one of the more underrated war movies of the 60s. The action feels frenetic and real. It was the first movie filmed in communist Czechoslovakia in 1968, and during production, the Soviet Union invaded the country to install a new government. Worth looking up!
