ROAR (1981)
“A naturalist living with big cats in East Africa expects a visit by his family of four from Chicago. A mix-up leaves him searching for his family, who have been left in the clutches of wild lions.” Absolutely bonkers movie. Plot wise it’s terrible, but everything that is happening on screen is pure bananas. Untrained big cats (and sometimes elephants) are all over the place and injured at least 72 people on set including the stars. Filming took 5 years and total production about 11. Like I said, not a great movie, but it’s insane to see what they were doing here. Full movie on YouTube.
