THE SMASHING MACHINE
“The story of mixed-martial arts and UFC champion, Mark Kerr.” This is the Rock’s best acting role to date, he really disappears into Mark Kerr. As a movie though, this is good, not great. It takes place in a 4 year time span and I just wanted more. There are some specific moments that really stand out, but the story could have been fleshed out more. I love Emily Blunt as an actress but she just really doesn’t have a lot to do, and is just basically the nagging wife role. She’s much better than that. If you’re a fan of Mark or early UFC, still worth checking out.
