Cleveland International Film Festival Making Playhouse Square Debut

The 46th Annual Cleveland International Film Festival returns to Playhouse Square on March 30 and will continue until April 9, 2022. CIFF46 promises this year's festival to be "bigger and better than ever" with over 146 feature films, and over 182 short films.

Tickets for the event are $14.00 for Members and $16.00 for Non-Members which can be found on CIFF's website: https://www.clevelandfilm.org/

The event will take place in Playhouse Square, CIFF's first in-person event at their new home after moving the Film Festival from Tower City Cinemas in 2019. The new location on Euclid Avenue features six theatres, including Allen Theatre, Connor Palace, KeyBank State Theatre, Mimi Ohio Theatre, Upper Allen, and Westfield Studio Theatre.

Immediately following the festival, CIFF will offer a streaming event from April 10 through April 17, continuing a successful online version of the festival that started in 2020 during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and continued in last years "Bring Film Home" themed festival, which had over 100,000 viewers.

The first Cleveland International Film Festival was held back in 1977 at Cedar Lee Theatre, which was it's home for 14 years until it was moved to Tower City, where it was held for the next 30 years. Playhouse Square is a beautiful and perfect location for CIFF, which it is now calling it's "forever home" following the announcement to move the Festival there in 2019.

Playhouse Square is a not-for-profit performing arts center whose mission is presenting and producing a wide variety of quality performing arts, advancing arts education and creating a destination that is a superior location for entertainment, business and residential living, thereby strengthening the economic vitality of the region.
