“Follows a hapless courier tasked with delivering a package to a remote hospital. He soon finds himself caught in the middle of an outbreak and must fight through hordes of mutated creatures to survive.” I wanted to love this more than I did. Big fan of the games, and this does a fine job of emulating how it feels to play them, but you remove 3-5 lines of dialogue and you could say this isn’t resident evil. Breakout role for Austin Abram’s and he is gonna be a big star. Fun set pieces, and genuinely enjoyable until the last 15 or so, and kinda wraps up abruptly. I actually think this would benefit from being a half hour longer.

“Sam, an escaped convict, lands up on a farmland owned by a widow. When he learns that a ruthless contractor is trying to take over her land, he helps her to fight against the injustice.” An interesting but not really special 90’s action movie. Van Damme is somehow under and over qualified for this considering he doesn’t have the acting ability to do the drama, and the action is less than what he’s capable of. Love to the supporting cast with Rosanna Arqeutte, Kieran Cullen, and Ted Levine plays a good villain.

“When the attempt to kill a professor goes wrong, a series of violent events are triggered which force a taxi driver to run for his life.” This is like a chase epic. Absolutely insane and you constantly ask yourself how they even filmed some of these scenes. Korean filmmaker Na Hong-jin, who just made hope, and previously The Wailing, The Chaser, and this, one of my new favorite directors. On Tubi.

“A talented piano tuner who suffers from hyperacusis discovers an unexpected aptitude for cracking safes, turning his life upside down.” A delightful twist on the heist genre. Great job by everyone involved, especially Leo Woodall, between this and “Tony,” he’s becoming an actor to watch. Rented on Prime.
