“A boy obsessed with ‘50s sci-fi movies about aliens has a recurring dream about a blueprint of some kind, which he draws for his inventor friend. With the help of a third kid, they follow it and build themselves a spaceship. Now what?” Like a cross between Goonies and Flight of the Navigator. Not quite at the same level of quality, but this has River Phoenix and Ethan Hawke, which is pretty great. I think it gets a little wacky toward the end, but still fun overall. Rented on Prime.
