“When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond.” Loved the first half, but the structure doesn’t allow it to keep the same tension. There’s a whole 10 minute scene with the president that just isn’t needed. I definitely have issues with this overall, but it’s honestly the most realistic depiction of what an actual horror movie should be, with the highest stakes. Gabriel Basso plays deputy national security advisor, and I gotta say, I don’t even want fake JD Vance anywhere near the White House. On Netflix.
