Today is the final race of the Ohio Sim Racing Truck Series Championship.
I will be streaming tonight's race on Twitch around 8:30PM ET, race starts at 9PM ET. Here is the link: twitch.tv/mwcoast
The truck series is the premier series of the OSR League for this season, and after 15 races since May 2 - the 16th and final race will be at (virtual) Phoenix Raceway for 80 laps tonight at 9PM. I've been racing a Midwest Coast "sponsored" Chevy Silverado all year promoting our site. Out of 43 total ranked drivers, the top 12 advanced to the Chase for the Championship playoff races in September through October to fight for a spot in the top 5. Once the top 5 are established, the points basically get wiped out for the final race and its best finish out of those 5 drivers tonight will be the Champion. I'm currently 3rd in the standings, so we have a chance. 🤞
UPDATE:
Finished 9th in the Championship race at Phoenix, so not good enough to get it done. Top 5 in the overall championship wasn't bad for my "rookie" season - but if you ain't first, you're last. I had to take a chance by pitting early and cautions did not work in our favor, so it ended up hurting more than helping. But the way the race was going around 20 laps in, it started to look like I'd finish 3rd at best, so had to take the risk to go for the win. The next season starts soon, November 21, and will be Xfinity cars instead of Trucks - Ohio Sim Racing's new top series. I currently do not qualify due to safety rating minimums, but I'm going to try to get this up before Daytona so we can debut the Midwest Coast Xfinity car for Race 1.
