This is exactly the trash you think it’s gonna be. It’s got some funny parts, it’s super violent and bloody, but I can’t say any of it’s good. Rented on Amazon Prime.
“A war-hardened general, egged on by his ambitious wife, works to fulfill a prophecy that he would become lord of Spider's Web Castle.” Kurosawa’s adaptation of Macbeth. My favorite movie of his so far. Incredible visuals, even feels like a horror movie at times. Coolest title. HBO Max.
At the end of a world war 2, a soldier is looking for his daughter, while an SS troop is looking for Jewish Treasure. A completely solid WW2 thriller. I may give it more praise if I hadn’t just seen “Sisu,” which I really loved. Not a bad 90 minutes to spend on Netflix though.
