“A team of top scientists work feverishly in a secret, state-of-the-art laboratory to discover what has killed the citizens of a small town and learn how this deadly contagion can be stopped.” This is almost timeless sci-fi. Some effects and costumes are a little out there but it more often than not completely works. Adapted from a novel, but this must have been one of the inspirations for “Contagion.” Rented on Amazon Prime.
