“A tale of nineteenth-century New York high society in which a young lawyer falls in love with a woman separated from her husband, while he is engaged to the woman's cousin.” This movie does everything it sets out to accomplish. Great acting, perfect set design, and truly puts you in 1870’s New York. Purely the fact that this isn’t my genre of movie so I didn’t love it, but it doesn’t do anything wrong. Kinda cool to see Scorsese pivot from “Cape Fear” to something this different though.
