“A recently laid off factory worker kidnaps his former boss’ friend’s daughter, hoping to use the ransom money to pay for his sister’s kidney transplant.” First of the vengeance trilogy and an absolute gut punch. Maybe a tad slow to get going, but then it doesn’t stop and is incredibly grim. Definitely worth watching, especially if you’re a fan of Korean film. Watched on Tubi.
