A darker version of the original Italian novel, made with stop-motion animation. The voice cast is really fun, like for instance, Cate Blanchett, plays a monkey who has no lines and only makes sounds. Takes place during World War 1, so there are some plot elements changed but it works really well, and much better than the other Pinocchio movie to come out recently. I can’t stress enough how much darker this movie is though, probably not for kids. Netflix.
