A runaway slave fights for his freedom through the Louisiana swamps and against his former plantation owners. Didn’t love this, and ultimately felt like 2 different movies mashed together. Kind of a baffling visual style that’s mostly black and white with hints of color shining through here and there. Will Smith does a solid job and Ben Foster is perfect as the villain but I wish this was better and it lacked tension for me. Apple TV+
