“A generational story about families and the special place they inhabit, sharing in love, loss, laughter, and life.” Robert Zemeckis has made some of the greatest movies ever, but this just didn’t full work for me. The hook is that camera never moves, so you’re essentially looking at this specific spot for hundreds of years and goes back and forth in time. The Tom Hanks Robin Wright stuff is good, but everything else just feels super cheesy. Every time it strayed from the main focus I just rolled my eyes. Ben Franklin lived across the street? Fuck off. Rented on Prime.
