“In 2008, during the last month of summer before high school begins, an impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy learns what his family can’t teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love your mom.” One of the best coming of age movies I’ve seen in quite a while. From the music to windows XP and instant messenger, there’s just so much nostalgia here. The main character makes all the dumb mistakes you make as a kid, and it just feels so genuine. Highly recommended.
